Imer6ia releases Translucid, a first album that raises the flag of wave music to the zenith of our post-algorithmic world.

Well known visual artist in the digital arts, she directed several 3D videos clips, notably for the artist Louise Roam, and designs, among other things, sci-fi inspired 3D digital fashion dedicated to the Metavers. She has also worked as scenographer and stage designer, as for the Thunderbreak parties of the highly influent LGBTQI+ crew Parkingstone.

As symbiotic as her plastic and digital creations, her musical universe is deeply rooted into Wave music: a musical movement that digests and reinterprets Trap, Trance, or EDM sounds, not hesitating to associate Reese Bass and eroded vocals, between dreamy harshness and synthetic nostalgia. Even if not very highly covered by medias, the microgenre publicly introduced to the world in 2015 by grime legend Plastician (through his “Wave Pool MMXV” podcast), reaches a popularity, especially on soundcloud and youtube, sometimes not so far behind some more mainstream music.

Imer6ia is the best-kept secret of that scene, alongside the references Barnacle Boi, Skeler, Brothel, Juche or the late Øfdream, with some of whom she has already collaborated.
This first album will allow her to proudly impose her feminine avatar on a male soil that needs it. You can trust Lavibe, the pioneering label curated by Brice Coudert (former A&R for the legendary Concrete Paris club), that keeps revealing one big name after another (Emma DJ, Banga, Simo Cell, GЯEG...), and the crack production team gathered around Imer6ia to propel her iridescent aesthetic far beyond the DIY practices of the genre.

Considered one of the best French producers, ex-Club Cheval member Canblaster lent a hand to the project to raise the level in terms of sound production and composition.
Sound designer and former AGLORY producer IPON mixed the tracks, and also injected a bit more industrial sound, with an almost pop music efficiency to the full project.
Mastering have been done by Simon Tiercelin while Imer6ia’s friend Rare0000 took part to the project during the whole production process, bringing his mastery of the wave music codes and drum programming skills.

Translucid offers ten compact, coherent and dense tracks, which oscillate between physical musicality and dreamy sensuality. They offer us a reflecting mirror to dive into a hybrid dance between artificial intelligence and humanoid memory. Translucid provides us with a manual of augmented existence, an indispensable soundtrack for our time in the grip of the new solastalgia syndrome.
